Unable to install latest Safari update 9.1.3; don't see anyone else having this problem. Will call Support if no response by tomorrow. Thanks!

What happens when you try? Try installing in the Safe Mode or another admin account.

Eric - Safe Mode enabled successful installation of Safari 9.1.3. Thanks for that. I had already verified/repaired permissions in recovery mode but only installing via Safe Mode is successful as verified by checking "About Safari."

As for the security update issued around the same time, how may I test whether it was successfully installed, please?

Thank you for you help - much appreciated.

You are welcome. Go to the  menu with the option/alt key held down and select the first option System Information/Report (Apple keeps changing the name). Run the report and then check under the Installation section to see if the update installed. If it didn't, try downloading it using the link below.

Thank you again. I verified it was installed, rather interestingly, yesterday on my fourth attempt. Lesson learned: we trust but first we test that system is indeed updated. Updates in AppStore indicated successfully downloaded and installed for all four attempts; however, the security update alert did not go away. Reviewing the logs, all former updates have been fine. Have not verified disk in 6 weeks or so; will do that in an abundance of caution. Bad tech week and your help much appreciated, especially when it concerns software security.
