Q: apple not selling any more displays ??

Sep 5, 2016 4:52 PMby Kappy,Rumor has it that Apple will no longer make displays. No big problem when there are hundreds of great displays you can buy that will work with most any GPU in a Mac Pro. Apple's displays used LG panels, so you can get a good 27" display that is using the LG display panel that Apple was using.

DesktopsI suggest you wait until after all the announcements from the Apple event Wednesday, 7 September 2016.
If there is to be a new Apple display, it may be announced at that event.
You have nothing to lose by waiting a few days to commit.

Sep 5, 2016 5:52 PMby Kappy,Yep. The LG ips displays provide the same quality and resolution because Apple used the same panel for their Cinema displays. I happen to use this Nexeus display with a home built computer. It uses the same LG display panel Apple used in their 27" Cinema display. $399 on Amazon.
