Q: Weird black grainy colours appearing when watching videos on Macbook Air
When playing videos online (so far just Youtube and Netflix, I've noticed), the screen sporadically flashes to black, with coloured grainy pixelated outlines of what's on the screen. It's very irritating, and it happens very frequently. As well as that, the video randomly changes from yellow-tinted to blue-tinted and vice versa, about once every three seconds.
I only noticed this very recently and for a little while just thought it was part of the videos I was watching, but it's everywhere. Additionally, this isn't picked up by Quicktime Player if I try to record the screen. In the recorded video, the images just froze where they had turned black and grainy when I was actually watching it. Has this happened to anyone else, and what's causing it? How can I fix it?
Thanks in advance for any answers.
p.s. I'm not sure whether I chose the right operating system - I'm using OS x 10.11 but that doesn't appear to be an option.
