Problem syncing to Iphone 6

I just bought a song off Itunes store on my phone, went to my Win 10 computer, saw that it showed up in my purchases, added it to a couple of playlists and sat back as it synced. When I looked at the playlist afterward, disconnected from computer or connected, it was not there. Resynced with same result. Looked at the phone under devices while hooked to computer and there it was, in both playlists and purchases. Unplugged the phone and it's not there anywhere. Tried restarting the phone, all is up to date. Any ideas on what to do?

While I have you here, I noticed awhile back that after connecting the phone to my computer and looking at a playlist under device that a few songs were greyed out with a broken circle on the far left. If I go into info and look at the status it says Waiting. Waiting for what? Those songs, unlike the one above, show in my playlists and play just fine. Waiting for the second coming maybe?

I have been using Itunes since it came out for Windows with no real problems other than operator error, but lately (since Itunes 11 update) it has not for me as far as features and technically it has not been as up to snuff. I spend a LOT more time looking here and elsewhere for issue solutions.

Thanks for helping!

The following steps may help with erratic syncing behaviour. They assume that all of the content you want on the device is in your library ready for restoring. If it isn't see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device first. I would also recommend you copy everything out of the camera roll if you haven't already.

  1. Backup device.
  2. Restore as a new device.
  3. Restore the backup you made earlier.

Use an encrypted backup if you want to preserve passwords, wi-fi settings, web history and health data where appropriate.

They are all on my computer and on an EHD and on an IPod Classic in my truck. On my phone because I can...and have bluetooth headphones. I restored my phone last December and it took FOREVER to get all the music back on. Overnight means leaving the computer non all night and it's in my bedroom, so will do it tomorrow morning, I will be home anyway. Will report back if it works or not

They are not unchecked. Got a screenshot, can't seem to post it here.

There was an issue uploading your image. Please ensure the image file name only includes accepted characters (letters a-z, numbers 0-9, spaces, dashes or underscores), the image is an accepted file type (.jpg, .gif or .png,) and the image is smaller than 2 MB.

It should meet those requirements, but that's ok as I have had problem posting pics on other sites. 😕
