I was going to a webpage that I normally use, but I missed typed it and it sent me to a webpage to download flash player and command-Q to quit safari. I'm scared that it download into my computer and it might of downloaded a virus.

No, i just used command - Q and quit safari and erased all my history

Oh thank god! But i was pretty worried because when it sent me there it was showing a download image and then safari gave me a pop-up telling me to download it i need to click continue.
There will also be a later step where you need to enter your Admin password to proceed.

As long as you did not 'press continue' you're fine.
That didn't happen, all it said was "to download flash player click continue" and my reaction was to leave safari and then clear my history. From there i just got scared that it downloaded without my permission

Not that I know of, your Password is always needed before they can make any changes, but you didn't get that far.
Oh okay, but what worried me was that an image was on that webpage showing a download of the flash and then asked to downloaded on my computer. Was it a good idea to erase all my history and quit safari? I'm sorry its just better safe than sorry.
You did the right thing by just closing the webpage or quitting Safari.
