Q: IOPCIFamily problem

Hi,

I started having problems with Parallels Desktop after upgrading it and had a support session with their support team which looked at what was wrong. The outcome is that my /System/Library/Extensions/IOPCIFamily.kext is corrupted and they asked me to contact Apple Support. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?

Cause

The problem is in Apple's /System/Library/Extensions/IOPCIFamily.kext bundle. Info.plist in the bundle is corrupted due to some reasons.

Resolution

Please contact Apple Support Team and send them system.log and corrupted /System/Library/Extensions/IOPCIFamily.kext/Info.plist.

I'm using Yosemite 10.10.5.

Thanks,

Carlos

You are not speaking to Apple on these forums, everyone that posts here is an end user just like yourself. You need to call AppleCare for support. However I think Parallels is just giving you the run-around. If you are having difficulty with their app, they the problem is clearly theirs.

    Good luck.
