Can no longer enter email address to the standard iPhone mail app.

After realizing I could no longer send emails from my Gmail account on my iPhone I read around and people told me to delete the account and re enter it into the app.

Now I'm not even able to do this. I enter the account info correctly and after loading for a few seconds it just reverts back to the page asking me what Mail Service I use like Yahoo Gmail Etc. I even got it to find my Email address itself and it did succesfully but still just reverted back to the Mail choice screen.

I use Gmail on the Standard Mail App that comes installed on the iPhone incase that needed to be known for a fix.

Any help would be appreciated.

iPhone 6s, iOS 9.3.5
