Q: Disorganised iTunes Media after moving to NAS
Hello,
I've moved my iTunes library to Synology NAS and am having trouble retaining logical structure of various media folders.
On the NAS I've created volume "Media" where I've moved the iTunes library and where I want all kinds of media to reside and be shared with other (Synology, Plex) apps. This volume is the default iTunes media folder now.
I've relinked the library in ITunes without problems and can see everything as before but when for example I'm adding new music content to iTunes (with both "Keep media organized" and "Copy media to iTunes folder" checked) it lands directly in "Media" instead of "Media/Music". Why and how can I fix it?
I'd like to keep the folder structure like this:
Media (volume)
-Music
--Artist Name
---Album Name
-Movies
--Movie Name
-TV Shows
--Show Name
-Books
-Etc.
Is this possible? Is selecting a volume as main iTunes media folder the reason the app messes things up?
OS X El Capitan (10.11.6), null

OK, it seems I had to "Organize Library..." after the move and all the orphaned folders were moved to /Music where they belong.
I think I like iTunes a little bit more now
