Q: Intermittent incoming call rings/notification

Why do only some of my incoming calls on my 6s ring? 

I get notifcation that someone DID call - but no ring or buzz to reflect the incoming calls at all - several people / calls and increasing...though I've triple checked that all codes appear correct for incoming calls/notifications... and sometimes their calls DO come in .... help, please?

iPhone 6s, iOS 9.3.5

    Hi

     

    Check that you have not enabled Do Not Disturb, either manually or on a scheduled basis:

     

    • Settings > Do Not Disturb.

     

    With this turned on, depending on your settings, you may:

     

    • Be notified of calls from some contacts but not from others.
    • And/or be notified of calls only when someone tries a second time within three minutes of their first attempt to call you.

    Thanks for the idea, but I've checked that several times.... and the calls do come through at other times.  Sorry, but not "the" answer....    any other ideas?
