Q: iMac Apple update running slow hot then stopped dead. It won't re-start.

iMac 2010 model. Apple update running slow iMac hot then stopped dead. It won't restart. What should I do now?

Try to turn on your Mac using this instruction If your Mac won't turn on - Apple Support

After that you can try to Reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac - Apple Support

Appears as if your iMac maybe plugged up with dust, lint and dirt and the fans maybe clogged, as well, and no longer keeping your iMac cool and is shutting down to prevent thermal failure.
I suggest if you have an Apple Store or an Apple authorised service center that you bring your iMac in for a diagnosis and price for possible cleaning/repair/replacement parts.
