Pro 9.7 Purchase... Missed Education Promo for Headphones?

So, I retired my iPad 4 32gb WIFI and bought a Pro 9.7 Space Grey 32gb WIFI to aid in finishing my nursing degree. Purchased on Labor Day 2016 and when I got home was restoring my backup to get up and running on new device, I saw the email from Apple reminding me of last chance.... So whats my course of action? Not saying its a make or break, I got my new tablet and am very pleased thus far, just didn't want to miss an opportunity afforded to college students.
