Q: Strange permissions issue

I am having a strange permissions issue that I have been chasing since early last month when these eight MacMinis were installed. All were set up the same with the exception of slightly different Adobe applications and Font Folio on them.

Originally two users were set up one being admin and the other being the workstation user. During early testing all seemed to be ok but when the users started working with them we noticed that some documents on their desktop would give them a permissions error and not allow them to open it, this can be resolved sometimes with a restart other times it requires me to restart in to recovery>terminal>resetpassword>Reset ACL for that user. After I saw that this issue was still coming up I elevated the user accounts to Admin accounts hoping that would resolve the problem but it didn't. These machines are set to automatically restart every morning when no one is here and at that point it seems that the problem comes back.

Also at the same time there were six MacBook Pros that were put in to use, two of these are used by the same users that use the MacMinis and there are no problems with them and the configuration is the same with exception of no Adobe products and Font Folio.

The documents that are trying to be opened are from email and from our servers.

Any suggestions on what could be causing this?

Thanks in advance.
