express card support for macbook pro 2010

I have a macbook pro 17 inch, mid 2010 - processor 2.53 intel core i5, memory 8GB, Nvidia Geforce 300M 512 MB. I have recently discovered that my expresscard is not longer recognised under el capitan.

Does anyone know how I can get this to work as I need to be able to transfer my pictures from my camera via sd card and I do not want to revert to usb/card reader.
