Q: iTunes is super hard to navigate

I always have some type of problem with iTunes, specifically the music section. It can get so frustrating sometimes; all I want to do is just download and enjoy my music in peace. I shouldn't have to go running around for answers regarding my problem. I bought a CD, Travis Scott's "Rodeo", a while back. I downloaded it onto my Mac and forgot about it. Now I am trying to get it back onto my iTunes, onto my Macbook, which, interestingly enough doesn't have a CD port. Now I emailed the songs to myself and downloaded them to my laptop, but just can't seem to get it on my iTunes. Pretty frustrating...

MacBook Pro, iOS 9.3.5

Macs haven't had optical drives for several years now.

Drag the music files onto an iTunes playlist.

Why aren't you recovering the files from your computer backup?  The method you are using is not supported by Apple. In fact it is specifically designed not to work, probably in order to minimize piracy.
