Q: Ipad Interface

Hi i have just returned from an appointment at Genius bar where o took 3 iPads all with headphone socket faults.

I use them for DJaying and playlists. I am a sound engineer.

I have been told that they are not 100% why the headphone socket keeps breaking but could be the excessive use of socket..

Whilst waiting for this appointment i was using Blue tooth receiver to work with. Its ok but a little worrying about dropping it or some other device trying to connect etc.

Was told about Irig interface, sounds good but very expensive...

I need one for lightening connection and Ipad 2..

Any advice or experience of these devices, performance and price wise will be much appreciated

Thanks so much in advance..

Andy

If you're just using the headphone jack, and prefer to continue using that, perhaps leaving an extension plugged into the headphone jack and unplugging your gear from the extension would be a viable option?

This would put the "stress" on the extension, as opposed to the iPad, and thus if the extension wears out, you needn't have the iPad itself repaired, just replace said extension.
