suggest the original iphone (old model) direct from apple but reduced price in USD.I am in the US now for a month.

The cheapest you can buy in the US is an iPhone SE. Great for the money and highly recommended.
if you buy an iPhone in usa the warranty will only be valid in usa
If you buy from Apple at an Apple store, you will need to purchase an unlocked device. You will pay the full retail price of the iPhone, plus any applicable state and local sales taxes. So be sure to research the total, out the door price.
As mentioned the warranty will not apply in India - iPhone's do not have an international warranty.
