Q: Headphone sound not working, only static noise

Hey,

this problem bothered me since I bought a new Macbook Pro 13" retina (late 2012).

I'm running osx 10.11.4

2,5 ghz intel core i5

8gb

intel hd 4000 1536 mb

When I plug in any headphones (tried original apple ones, senheiser, with mic, some without mic and android),

I only hear a loud static noise on both earpieces.

Internal speaker and bluetooth audio working fine. It is not the "digital output" problem, as headphones are displayed in sys.settings when i plug them in.

The strange thing is that sometimes its working perfectly well when i plug in my headphones, without any static noises.

To me it seems to occur randomly. Most of the time though, its not working.

When I pull the headphones out of the jack very slowly i can often hear ~1.5 seconds of clear audio when i play music, then the static noise starts again.

As I already tried a lot of potential solutions I eventually decided to ask for some help here.

I tried:

-resetting SMC

-resetting PRAM

-reboot

-terminal "sudo killall caroeaudiod"

-detaching power cable and hds

-audio midi setting hz settings (tried all combinations)

-closing the lid, reopening while headphones plugged in

-rebooting with headphones plugged in

-reset my system from timemachine backup

-cleaning the audio jack (there is no dirt inside)

It is confusing me that sometimes it is working fine but when i replug headphones i get only loud static noise.

I'm already thinking about replacing the audiojack, but while i kept on trying i got almost sure that it has to be a software problem. Also, the audio jack replacement seems to be hard to get where i live (germany).

It would be awesome if someone had a better idea why this is happening, as i didnt find someone with the same problem on google.

Any help appreciated
