Hi guys, i recently picked up a macbook pro for school, long story short, when i first got it I'm pretty sure when i closed windows or was browsing around my files there would be a click sound thats comes from the computer and now it's not there and i can't seem to find it anywhere in the settings. Can anyone tell me how to change this. Thanks in advance.

It's in trackpad settings, the "click" is actually a haptic sound generated from the macbook. Check the "point and click" tab.
The only time my MBP 'clicks' is when I depress my trackpad. Are you suggesting 'clicks' occur in other instances?

I'm pretty sure there is a click generated from the speakers or other sounds when closing pages moving tabs things like that.
Am I just crazy? I could have swore it made sounds when i first got it, kind of like an iPhone when typing on the keyboard and unlocking the screen. It makes sounds... right

I have never encountered such a phenomenon with any of my 4 MBPs. The trackpad (or button on the 2006 MBP) has always been the only source of clicks.

Look at System Preferences > Sound, Sound effects tab.
There are options for 'interface effects' and for 'feedback when volume is changed' but none of these really fit what you describe. The interface effects will make noises when trashing files.
There were similar clicks & scrolling effects many years ago before OS X but I can't see how you would only be missing those now 🙂

I don't know of any third part add ons that could add sounds but I guess we could investigate it if you are certain it did behave this way?
