Q: Adding Alesis V49 in Logic
Hey,
I was using my Alesis V49 controller and I wanted to be able to adjust my Velocity Settings, I am aware of the ways I can do this within Logic but manually adjust from the MIDI thru option is too much work and it doesn't help the curve and the MIDI FX in the mixer works but it takes up too much CPU to be putting that on a lot of tracks and I need to leave it on the track if I want to get the new scaled MIDI notes.
To solve this I know that the Alesis has an app where you can adjust the curve but I need to be able to set the input and output of my MIDI device to V49 Editor IN and V49 Editor OUT. I know that setting the curve doesn't automatically work because there is a flat line curve in the Editor where it's max all the way and I record MIDI data in Logic and its wasn't working.
Logic Doesn't automatically recognize the V49 or any Alesis products from the list on my machine. I updated the drivers from Alesis and I checked the Audio MIDI setup app and my mac recognizes it there but not in logic.
I'm looking to edit my velocity curve. I know I can also do it manually from Kontakt 5 and Serum but it doesn't work for everything in Logic which is the problem.
