Q: Input source indicator does not switch

I just updated my system to 10.11.6 and noticed that it's harder to switch between keyboards. Specifically, I have 3 keyboards that I always use. To switch between them I use hotkeys and just clicking on the flag in the top panel. The problem is when I switch from English to Russian, for example, the flag indicating the input source doesn't change, and remains the same, indicating English, however, I type in Russian. So the biggest issue is not knowing what language it is set to until I begin typing.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

Check your keyboard shortcut for switching keyboards under: System Preferences -> Keyboard -> Shortcuts -> Input sources.

Verify the shortcut isn't conflicting with another shortcut. This may prevent both from working. By default, it's set to use the same shortcut as Spotlight.
