Q: iTunes 12.4.3 freezes immediately after connecting my iPhone

Opened up iTunes yesterday and as soon as I plug my iPhone 6s Plus (iOS 9.3.5) via usb cable iTunes freezes! Opening up task manager says "not responding", so waited a few minutes and iPhone icon appears but freezes again and this time iTunes does not respond at all! After waiting around 30 mins I remove the cable and get a error message saying "An iPhone has been detected, but could not be identified properly. Disconnect and reconnect then try again".

 

Tried using this method recommended by apple; If iTunes doesn't respond when you connect an iOS device - Apple Support but as soon as i click on the devices preferences it freezes again but it starts running after few minutes, so I click on devices tab and it shows nothing, no devices even tho I synced my iPhone last week.

 

Tried using it on guest account but same issue, tried many methods that has been found on the internet from using new cable to reinstalling all apple software but no luck. Called Apple support thy said need to contact Microsoft but Microsoft says we cannot do anything as its the applications issue and I'm stuck. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
