Q: not receiving emails

I have been having an issue not receiving or emails not downloading on my iphone6s 9.3.5 for about a month.  I have Brighthouse.com as provider.  I have spoken with them several times codes are entered correctly  added/deleted account several times.  Brighthouse sent me to Apple.  Talked with Apple online 3 times, went to Apple store twice, back to Brighthouse and still no resolution.  Also chatted with AT&T tech.  No result....Emails will work and download for maybe a couple of hours after deleting adding account - then keeps checking for mail.  Has not downloaded since Sunday.  I also cannot send mail from LTE.  This is so very very frustrating has anyone else had this problem.  I don't know if it is the server although they assure me it is not on their end, or something wrong with the phone.  The only other option I have is to reset my phone I really don't want to do that.
