Q: Macbook connected to Wi-Fi, won't load page

Hi all,

I am temporarily living with family and I know the password to the router, connect with full 4 bars, but when I got to load google.com it says unable to connect. This seems to be an issue on the router's end but I don't know what setting to try to "allow" the mac to connect to the internet.

We tried and both Android phones and Microsoft Surface laptops can connect and load pages fine. My iPhone, however, has the same problem.

What should I try within the router settings to fix this when I sit down with my uncle and he goes into the router settings? I've found very little online but is it MAC or DNS settings? Bottom line: everything other than Apple products can load webpages via the wi-fi, my Mac and iPhone cannot even though they have full connectivity.

MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.5)
