Q: Trying to install El Capitan

Hello, recently I've been trying to install El Capitan, but I cannot do so because I am experiencing issues with the App Store. It is telling me to enter a valid payment method, but I have tried multiple cards w/ money on them, and none of them work. It will not let me install El Capitan unless I enter "valid" billing information, when everything I am entering IS valid. I am currently running 10.7.5, and I'm an artist. I need to update my software to continue my digital art, but obviously I cannot do so right now. Please help.

Kind Regards.

To find out what the issue is, you need to contact Apple support directly.

If these are prepaid debit cards that you purchased in a local store, you are not offering a valid payment method. Apple does not accept prepaid debit cards.

Aside from using the None option or redeeming a local iTunes Gift card, the only valid payment method is a credit card issued by a bank in your country of legal residence, with a verifiable billing address for the account, in that same country.

Unfortunately, "none" does not show up. I have tried getting it to pop up via my iPhone & iMac, but it just does not show. I just tried to create a new Apple ID, and it is telling me to contact iTunes support no matter what I do. It is quite annoying.

Bad idea to create another Apple ID. Multiple Apple IDs just make a mess of things.

The None option doesn't always show up in everyone's account. You need to buy & redeem an iTunes gift card or supply a bank issued credit card.

I redeemed an iTunes card before but I had used up on the money, I

contacted iTunes support. I'll see what they can do.
