HI! I was just wondering, if I reformat my ipad, will I still be able to retrieve my apps even if they are not in app store anymore?

Apps purchased from the App Store in iTunes can be downloaded again.

According to http://ipod.about.com/od/theappstore/a/How-To-Install-Apps-Removed-From-The-App- Store.htm you need to make sure that you have the App in iTunes if it is no longer available in the App Store.
