How do I edit (crop) audio tracks in iMovie 10.1?

I was familiar with the older version of iMovie and could clip, crop and edit audio and music tracks with ease. But I just tried to use the newest version (10.1.1) for the first time, and I cannot for the life of me figure it out. (why fix what isn't broken and make us learn the software all over again? but I digress...)

I've imported a song from iTunes into my movie project. What I'm now trying to do is crop a small specific section of that song, rather than the entire 5 minutes of it. The beginning and end of the cropped clip need to be very precise, to the second or better. How do I do this? Anyone know where I can get step-by-step instructions or a really good training video? Much thanks.

To do precision work on audio clips, first expand your time line out to full by using the slider next to the settings button on the middle right hand side of your screen. Then select the audio clip. You can crop sections out by putting the cursor at the in point, and then holding down the "r" key while dragging the pointer over the clip as you press down on your mouse/trackpad. That will outline a yellow box that can be deleted or moved around independently of the rest of the audio clip. Another way to do it is to place your cursor on the in point and hit the "i" key and then place your cursor on the out point and hit the "o" key.
