iphone 6 doesn't synch with itunes

Both iTunes and iPhone 6 both have most recent updates, yet when I plug the iPhone 6 into my computer, it is recognized as Apple iPhone in my File Explorer (once I allow permission), yet when I open iTunes, it will not synch or recognized as a device. Any suggestions??? I am running windows 10.
