Q: I phone 6s screen turned grey

My one month old iPhone 6s fell into a toilet pot for 30seconds. I immediately took it out, turned it off, kept it in air tight container filled with rice for almost 60 hours. With god's grace, touch panel & sound is working fine today. I kept it for full charging and it has turned 100% however 95% of the screen has turned grey. Is there a way to fix it? Please if someone can help urgently. I took it to Apple service center too, they asked me to use it till the time it's working fine & later anytime I can get it replaced with the same new model by paying INR 25,500. It's a lot of money to pay again after just a month. Please advise if I shall turn it off and keep it in rice for few more hours or anything else.

Thanks in advance!

Sorry, but since it fell into water, the phone has been damaged beyond repair. Corrosion will set in and the phone will stop to work, a grey screen is just the first sign for failing hardware due to the water damage.

I got to know from some other post in community that if we keep iPhone turned on with auto lock - never & brightness high in a sealed packet of rice for 24-48hours. It will get fixed. Shall I do the same. Do you think it shall work? Because it does work for few people but I believe that was for 5 series and not 6. Thus, needed to be sure before doing that.

You may try what ever you want at your own risk, but in the end, the phone will stop to work at some point in the future, sorry.
