Q: Finder is always freezing when click the document tab

I have a Macbook Pro Ratina.  It is always freezing when I want to go to my document. After I relaunch it, it is still the same. Is that software problem or hardware problem?

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch,Early 2015), OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

    Might be corrupted Finder preferences.

Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder

Type or copy paste the following:

    ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist

Click Go then move the com.apple.finder.plist file to the Trash.

Restart your Mac then try the Finder.
