Q: how to get the switch in place in the headphone socket?

The tiny switch in the headphone socket of iphone5 is not springing back to its position! How to get it done? Took it to the nearest customer service center & they blamed it on me & told that the phone has to be replaced & I have to pay an amount equivalent to the price of a new iphone5!!

    Did you try to plug the headphones in and out a couple of times?

    If this does not work, your only other chance would be searching for a 3rd party repair shop that can replace the headphone port. But after a 3rd party serviced the phone, Apple will not even offer you the Out-of-Warranty Replacement for the reduced price, in case this goes wrong.
