All my purchased music is not on iTunes.

Only a fraction of the music I purchased the last couple of years appear on iTunes when connecting via my laptop. They do exist on my iPad. When asking to retrieve all purchased music only a few songs are downloaded and then iTunes says thats all.

What's wrong?
