Q: How to make QR codes work
I recently had WhatsApp installed on my iphone 6 and pleased with the ability to write texts on my Mac screen. However, I had problems with a PUP, and in the process of fixing that, uninstalled WhatApp. It is now working again but unable to type on the computer screen. On signing in I see only and option to produce a QR code (that never happened originally) so did that but while that is done have no idea how to proceed.
If somebody kindly replies please treat me as quite inexperienced (plus I am close to 80) so too much technical jargon is likely to - with the best will in the world - fail to register.
I would appreciate assistance please as I'm finding this frustrating as tired hands prefer a keyboard to type.

I hope the explaination in this page is clear enough.
The way I understand it (bear in mind that I have not used this):
1) you see that QR code by starting the WhatsApp application on your mac
2) you open the iPhone application and follow the instructions above to have the iPhone app scan the QR code from your mac screen
3) the two are now tied together so you can use them interchangeably
