Apple TV

Q: Apple TV (third gen) not showing on iMac

My third gen. apple TV is no longer appearing on airplay for my iMac since i upgraded to El Capitan. They are on the same ethernet network and i've done all the updates for both. I've restarted the Apple TV and unplugged/plugged it back in but still wont show on iMac. It is being recognized on other computers in the same network though... What should i do?

Called apple support and this was resolved by turning off both devices (iMac and Apple TV) unplugging both from ethernet and leaving for 1 min before plugging both back in and reconnecting to ethernet
