ipod shuffle suddenly keeps repeating same song - can manually skip to next track in any playlist but cannot see how to turn this repeat off on the shuffle? I have loads of songs in all playlists, I can't see a 'one song' function on the ipod shuffle nor can I see a 'repeat' function. thanks

This is an iPod shuffle, the tiny clip-on player with no screen? You're right that an iPod shuffle as no repeat current song setting. iPod nano does...
thanks Kenichi, yep the little tiny one with the clip. It is touch screen with just on/off button and volumn +/- on top - 4th generation by the port for charging.

If it has a touch screen, it's not an iPod shuffle. Sounds like a 6th gen iPod nano.
iPod shuffle is even tinier and has no screen. On a touch-screen iPod nano, the control for Repeat is on the Now Playing screen. With 6th gen, I think you need to swipe the screen to see it. It looks like two arrows in a loop (with a small "1" when set to repeat "one song"). Tap it to change Repeat setting to off or repeat list.

Thank you so much Kenichi - it is a nano - I had borrowed off my boyfriend and have now fixed before I give back! The swipe to the right on 'now playing' worked, I could see the 1 on repeat and switched off. Phew!
You should return it stuck playing one song (as a prank). And then "fix" it for him. 🙂
