Q: El Capitan Calendar not syncing with Google calendar

Good afternoon,

I have tried to sync my iCal with google calendar and I saw that I have to add the google account in the system preferences. The problem is that when I try to do that, my mac asks for detail of the account, then I choose what I would like to use with that account. When I press Done the computer blocks and does not menage to add this account.

It happened just after the update to El Capitan because before it used to work well.

Could somebody help me please?

Thanks

Giada

    Hi Glada Fari,

Looks like you are having issues adding your Google account to your Mac after the update to El Capitan? You can try adding your Google Account in the Mail app if the issue is occurring in Internet Accounts. If the account is added successfully in the Mail App, you can then adjust the specific sync services you wish to enable within the Internet Accounts of the System Preferences. If you need some quick steps to add the account in the Mail app, please follow the links below.

    Use Mail on your Mac

OS X El Capitan: Internet Accounts preferences

This should allow you to set up your Google calendar as you wish. Thanks for using Apple Support Communities to post your question. Have a nice day.
