i bought an iphone 5 off of ebay and the owner refuses to remove the device from find my iphone and i need help so i can usee the device

After I bought the device it had not been restored so I restored and updated it to ios 9.3.5 and soon found ou he had not removed it from find my iPhone.

Contact eBay about this matter; they are the only go-between

if you bought the item through them from a seller and they are

the one who may be able to get your money refunded.

A user of Paypal may allow you some recourse or protections.

Look into their site(s) to see what your rights are.


The original owner should have readied the unit for resale before

eBay accepted it; one of the things he/she should have done

before selling is check it against here:


Make sure Activation Lock is disabled before selling or transferring
