Hello, ever since yesterday when I turn on my macbook pro the screen goes black after logging in...today I signed in and the screen went black and then back to the login screen a couple times. Then later on in the day it seems to work fine. Any suggestions?

Whenever we see the screen blanking out or jumping back to the login screen there are a few steps we can try. The first would be to test the your Mac in safe mode to see if the same behavior occurs. This article will walk you through how too use safe mode:
Try safe mode if your Mac doesn‘t finish starting up
