i need help garage band. ?play electric keyboard sounds instead of garage band sounds.??

i need help i connected my psr293 to my laptop and it works fine. harmony and everything works but i created a beat on the keyboard and when i tried to play it on my laptop thru piano it sounded weird. so my question is can i use the sounds on the keyboard piano and the garage band sounds aswell or just garage band sounds.??? ugh
