email to contact apple about spyware?
this is going to be a long post im so sorry but i tried to provide as much info as possible.
I have an ipod 6th gen and i somehow managed to download something w/spyware i guess? i had a vpn on and was on a downlaoder app i got a bunch of tabs open after taping on something and suddenly my ipod froze for a bit and went on a blank page on my ipod homescreen and then opened mail to show that it was trying to send an email to no one with the subject saying this:
"Warning: Call Apple Tech Support +1-800-891-8**9 Your Device May Have SPYWARE VIRUS Call Apple support immediately for assistance on how to remove the virus."
the screen only flashed this for a while and then i couldnt open my mail app anymore, my first reaction was to delete my vpn and download app. I kept trying to go on my mail app to no avail. Then I got a message saying i had an incorrect password from on my emails (i did nothing at all to that email) i began deleting my emails one by one and even then i couldnt open my email app,,, and then i noticed my chrome app was updating by itself ( it was in the same folder as the downloader and vpn) so i deleted everything on that folder and updated my ipod to the latest ios, after that i saw i still had my chrome app?? but on another page on my ipod so i deleted that and then i was afraid the spyware was on something else so i reset the settings on my ipod, and i was FINALLY able to open my mail app and see the email properly and i even took screenshots this time,
im not sure if there was really a spyware or if its actually gone yet, should i completely reset my ipod? will connecting my ipod to my laptop be a bad idea right now?
screenshot i took,
