How to download macOS Sierra beta?

I can find dozens of web sites that all gleefully say, "Go to developer.apple.com and just download it!" or "Just go to beta.apple.com, it's right there!" But it isn't. The closest I can get is https://developer.apple.com/download/ which tells me, "our Apple ID must be associated with a paid Apple Developer Program or Apple Developer Enterprise Program to access certain software downloads. You can download Xcode below or sign in with a different account."

How do I download the Sierra beta?!?!

OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

Hi,

Before you do anything you must sign up > https://beta.apple.com/sp/betaprogram/

Be aware, if you have problems with Sierra beta, it may require restoring your Mac to factory settings so make sure to backup all your important data prior to installing beta.
