Q: Does an iPhone 6 Plus stream music on Bluetooth or AirPlay in true stereo?

Just wondering, since the new iPhones have supposed built-in stereo speakers, do the old ones stream to Bluetooth or AirPlay speakers in true stereo? I've always been under the impression that they do. Please correct me if I am wrong.

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 9.3.5

Yes, they stream in true stereo if the source is in stereo, and can stream in more channels if the source has more channels.

The new stereo speakers on the iPhone 7, are just the external speakers, it has nothing to do with the stream, or headphone usage. The iPhone 6(+) and 6s(+) only had 1 speaker so it was physically impossible to play music in stereo,  ie from two speakers at the same time.

With two available speakers true physical stereo sound is possible by sending one channel to one speaker, and the other channel to the other speaker.
