Q: Importing CDs

I have hundreds of CDs which I would like to consolidate in iTunes.  But when I import a CD, all tracks go to the master playlist, and I have to fish them out and drag the tracks to the individual playlist (created by clicking on the + sign at bottom left) one by one.  This is very time consuming, is there a way where I can create a playlist and import the CD to that playlist?  Thank you.

Why are you doing that, i.e., what are you trying to accomplish by creating these playlists? Asking in case there's an easier way to accomplish anything what you want.

BTW, you can sort your music by Date Added, so there's no "fishing" involved.

Thanks for your quick reply.  I import my CDs so that I can listen to music while away from home.  If I have the name of the CD in the left column, then I can listen just to that CD, instead of having to fish for each track from the master list.  I used to be able to just drag the CD icon into the new playlist, and it imports automatically. It seems that this feature is no longer available.

I also make my own CDs, digitizing LPs.

    I hope this helps.
