Q: Unable to change text in iBooks list view

According to Apple, I should be able to change text in the iBooks list view, and while it does change, it doesn't stay changed.

After I quit iBooks, any changed text reverts to what it was before. Any idea what's going wrong, and how I can change it?

Thanks

    Hello Brett Feinblatt,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

I understand from your post that when you change the text in the iBooks list view it does not save the setting and reverts back after you quit iBooks. In a situation like this, I recommend restarting your MacBook. If the issue persists, then restart into safe mode and test it. Then restart as normal and test again.

Try safe mode if your Mac doesn‘t finish starting up

    Starting up in safe mode

Follow these steps to start up into safe mode.

    1. Start or restart your Mac.
    2. Immediately after you hear the startup sound, press and hold the Shift key.
    3. Release the Shift key when you see the Apple logo appear on the screen.

    Best Regards
