Q: iPhone 4s, model MD262LL/A
I purchased (used) an iPhone 4s. The vendor (Glyde.com) advertised it as a Sprint phone. I was looking specifically for a Sprint 4s.
The model number on the back is A1387, which Apple tells me means it is a CDMA phone. I got on chat with Apple support, and they wouldn't look at anything beyond this model number on the case.
The model number in the Settings is MD262LL/A, which is supposed to indicate the specifics of the model (color, memory, CDMA/GSM and original network). I found a web site that someone put together listing all of the 4s specific models (https://stikine.wordpress.com/2012/03/01/iphonemodels/ if anyone is interested). There is no source indicated for that information, so I don't know whether to believe it. This chart shows the phone I bought is a white 64GB refurbished CDMA iPhone 4s.
The only detail I am having trouble with is CDMA/GSM. I'm bringing the phone to an MVNO (mobile virtual network operator, or phone service reseller), and they tell me the IMEI indicates the phone is GSM.
So, without divulging the IMEI here (sorry), can anyone tell me with any veracity which kind of phone I actually got?
Thank you.
iPhone 4S, iOS 9.3.2
