My iphone 6 touch ID stopped working after latest update IOS9.3.5

As soon as the latest update went through my iphone 6, the touch ID stopped working at all. When I try to add a fingerprint goes from "place your finger" to "Failed"... HOW CAN I FIX THIS??? I tried to restart the phone, disable touch ID, enable it again... nothing seems to work. Please help!!!

iPhone 6, iOS 9.3.5

Hi

Go to settings PASSCODE enter your finger prints again .

I am having the same issue and my phone will not allow me to re-enter my fingerprints. The same "failed" screen pops up and I'm unable to even attempt saving my fingerprints which I'm unsure as to why my originally saved fingerprints are not there anymore.
