Q: iOS on 5th gen ipod touch?

is iOS 9.3.2 officially the last version of iOS that will run on a 5th gen iPod Touch? I was wondering why there's been no more updates, and decided to ask

iPod touch, iOS 9.2.1, 5th Gen Slate Blue 64 GB model

You should be able to update to iOS 9.3.5.

Have you tried connecting your iPod Touch to your computer running the latest iTunes (vers 12.4.3) and updating your iPod Touch that way?

The last time I plugged my iPod Touch into my Mac, I was told to update to 9.3.5, but I declined it because I wasn't sure that it was correct. Every time I go into General > Software Update from my iPod, it says OS 9.3.2 Your iPod is up to date, so I assumed it was right. I'm going to apple tomorrow to have my computer checked, so I'll ask them why it never let me update the ipod directly after 9.3.2... Thanks!

What version of OS X is your Mac running?

What iTunes version is your Mac running?

The latest iTunes update, from the Mac App Store, is iTunes vers. 12.4.3.
