Does Apple Watch Series 2 (or new watchOS) have the Podcast app?

Great that the Series 2 has GPS. It's what I've been waiting for. But will it (or new watchOS) include the Podcast app? I don't want to do the work around where you turn podcasts into MP3s in iTunes and then sync. Just an actual seamles Podcast app for the Watch. Is that part of the Series 2 or new watchOS?
