will the case for the original apple watch fit a series2 since the depth is different for both.

    Depending on the watch's case size (38mm or 42mm) and model, a case designed for an original Apple Watch model may not fit a newly announced model.

     

    Differences in dimensions include depth for Series 2 and, for all new 42mm models, differences in height and width. Apple Watch Edition (ceramic case) has further differences in dimensions.
