Hi there,
I am trying to import photos to my computer but my iphone does not appear in any of the photo applications on my Macbook pro: iphoto, image capture or photos app.
I think the problem arose after I updated to the latest software I have version 10.11.6 of El Capitan on Macbook Pro and iOS 9.3.5 on iphone 5s.
So far I have:
- Rebooted phone and macbook (multiple times) to no avail.
- changed cable
- turned off Icloud settings and photostream on my iphone AND on my computer as I thought that the problem maybe arose because the photos were already on the computer and so did not recognise the photos from iphone as needing to be imported. (I know i could use this as a go-around method but the problem is I have a lot of videos from my iphone I would like to upload).
- i tried logging into guest user and MIRACLE it worked there and my iphone was recognised by all three - iphoto, image capture and photos. However this put me even more at loss because I now have no idea what the problem is.
How can I get my iphone to appear in the main user??
Oh, forgot to mention - the iphone appears normally in itunes and itunes opens automatically when I connect the iphone to computer. But there is nothing on the photos app.
