Q: How to use polifonoc staff style in a Score?
Hello community,
In Logic 9 I used to combine 2 Flutes in 1 staff and used polifonic staff style when they played different parts.
How to do it in Logic X?
Thanks in advance.

Open Sore Editor, select a track Flute 1 and go to Staff Styles.
A Flute 1 will be selected automatically, having Number 1 under the Voices column. I clicked a + Voice button (lower centre) and now I have 2 Voices. In a Channel column (lower right) I selected channel 1 and 2. After selecting Flute 1 staff in a Score Editor I went to View/Explode Polyphony ( Ctrl X).
Yes that is fine.....

A new empty staff appeared under Flute 1 staff.
yes it does but remember this is really for editing purposes and not score printout.

Copy/Paste Flute 2’s part to Flute 1 staff and separated/sent a Flute 2’s part to an empty staff with a Voice Separation Tool. When it is ready, I press Ctrl X again and two Flute’s parts appeared on the same staff
Yes that is fine....

but now Stems are UP and Down as I selected them to be. Finish. Am I doing correct?
Default stem positions are defined in the staff style voice as a parameter....
You can override this at any time by selecting the notes and pressing control option (up/down arrow) to invert the stem direction.

Then, my question is: How to use Polyphonic Staff Style from say, bar 16 to 24 only, after which do regular way? No more Stems UP/Down. Stem Auto doesn’t help
Cut the region at the bar where you want the new look to be and assign it the original staff style. Staff styles (which is what defines how the staff looks) is region dependent. So for example your arrange window will have two regions... Region A is assigned to Staff style X, and region B is assigned to staff style Y ( you decide what X and Y should be).
Pick a default stem direction in the staff style for each voice. You can override stem direction of one or more notes by selecting them and using the key sequence above.
Hope that solves your issue.
